Garance, Je T'aime

Yes, the Sartorialist is brilliant but Garance is my absolute favorite
Every post and interview she does inspires me in some way
and her sketches are just beautiful
French women really do know how to mix style and sophistication with the perfect amount of edge

Heck Yes!

Oh my gosh... this is my new favorite site: My Parents Were Awesome. I love old pictures of people's parents when they were our age. In fact, what mine don't know is that last time I was in Indiana I smuggled some of their old photos and have them hanging in my room right now because they make me so happy. This site is definitely worth checking out. I miss my parents!

Lovely Little London Nest

(images of Simon and Martin Jacobs London Home via The Selby)
I love the idea behind this new site and I really hope it takes off.
I'm always looking for ways to create and recreate
new styles with old things I have lying around.

Sprouted Kitchen - A Tastier Look on Whole Foods

This is my new favorite blog... hands down. I have never seen anything so lovely. I am going to make this Lentil and Tomato Pita this week.

Sprouted Kitchen
shares her love for food in its purest form while her husband, an amazing self-taught photographer (whose blog you may find here) takes the lovely pictures that you see of her foodie creations. I am officially in love.

The Taste of Purple

I found this lovely lovely image at Smosch. It is from Lines & Shapes. I am in love with it. The deep shades of purple make me feel content (and hungry).

This is Insanely Romantic...

I don't think I'm the only one that thinks that weddings are getting out of control these days. I am very passionate about beautiful elegant events but why do they have to be so expensive. Weddings these days cost more than a year of my salary!?! Do these people realize how many starving children they could feed with that money? This nearly brought a tear to my eye. True romance in my opinion. A tiny "at home" wedding. Read about it at Cup Of Jo or at the blog of the happy couple themselves Jeremy and Kathleen.

Modette

I love to look at this blog because this lovely girl goes to all my favorite spots that I've been to in the city. I also adore her sense of style.

Thor at the Rivington Hotel in the Lower East Side. The Black Chandeliers and Wallpaper are my favorite part (and the amazing Prix Fixe Brunch)

Cafe Gitane in Nolita where they have granny style cinnamon beets and great salads

Epistrophy in Nolita, my all time favorite little Italian wine bar where I take everyone who comes to visit and also where I swoon over the beautiful Italian men behind the bar.

Yaffa Cafe in the East Village. I eat here too much. Best carrot salad dressing I've ever tasted, awesome Babaganoush, and its open all night.

Sabon in Soho. You can come in and get a free hand scrub and wash.

La Esquina in Little Italy looks like a little diner on top but underneath its a dark, sexy little Mexican Restaurant.

Mud in the East Village, I just went here last weekend and sat under the colorful sun roof with some friends while sipping peppermint tea.

Schillers Liquor Bar in the Lower East Side will always and forever be a favorite of mine. The tuna burger, Wet Ginger Martini, and Sticky Toffee Pudding are to die for.

This is Essex and Delancey in the Lower East Side where I frequently take the F train.

This is a great little flea market that I believe is in the East Village.

Get Your Daily Pep Talk

Reading this blog brings me joy. This girl is just great and positive and really funny. I frequently find myself reading a pep and saying "Yes, heck yes!" or sometimes "you know... she's right". Check out her tumblr to get your daily pep talks fresh each day.

This is Morran. She belongs to the lovely artist Camilla Engman. My heart pines for her. I really need a dog of my own.... sigh... someday.

Manhattan

I love this movie and just watched it with a friend the other night :) I found this beautiful, beautiful posting about it over at Bakerby and she made these wonderful animations. Go! See for yourself! And for all you New Yorkers who haven't seen Manhattan, well, you should.

Sebastien Gaudard, a Chef in Paris, uses these beautiful cake pans for home decor. I think it is lovely and a great idea. Not one that many could pull off either. I found this image over at The Selby. C'est tres magnique!
