blank canvas

For two months I've been staring at a blank canvas. Yes, it is hanging on my wall, I wanted to figure out where I would put it once I worked up the nerve to actually paint something. But there it is, staring across from my bed everyday for me to see its sad state. I am not a painter, I never have been. My sister is the painter in our family. So I never really considered giving it much of a chance before. But I think I could make something lovely if I tried hard enough. And after seeing this horse painting on the mantle of this image I think I found some inspiration. If I ever get around to painting my blank canvas I'll let you know how it goes.
