Garance, Je T'aime

Yes, the Sartorialist is brilliant but Garance is my absolute favorite
Every post and interview she does inspires me in some way
and her sketches are just beautiful
French women really do know how to mix style and sophistication with the perfect amount of edge

Love It

This lovely lady (friend of a friend) supposedly lives a few blocks from me in good ol Park Slope. I love her outfit here and I believe she is standing in the middle of beautiful Bryant Park. I need to make it out there soon for ice skating and the holiday market (and I also need some tall riding boots like hers).

I love the idea behind this new site and I really hope it takes off.
I'm always looking for ways to create and recreate
new styles with old things I have lying around.

Blondie

I found this photo here and it makes me miss my blonde locks soooo badly. Good thing I'm feeling brunette lately or I'd die my hair in a minute :)

If I Had $30...

... I'd probably buy this lovely little vintage dress from Dalena Vintage on Etsy.

October Anniversary

October Anniversary is a new jewelry line and it is just so lovely. They are doing really well right now. A fellow Hoosier is one of the founders which means I'm a little more excited about it than I normally would be. The pieces are so lovely and I am dying to have the key necklace. You can view the entire collection here.

Modette

I love to look at this blog because this lovely girl goes to all my favorite spots that I've been to in the city. I also adore her sense of style.

Thor at the Rivington Hotel in the Lower East Side. The Black Chandeliers and Wallpaper are my favorite part (and the amazing Prix Fixe Brunch)

Cafe Gitane in Nolita where they have granny style cinnamon beets and great salads

Epistrophy in Nolita, my all time favorite little Italian wine bar where I take everyone who comes to visit and also where I swoon over the beautiful Italian men behind the bar.

Yaffa Cafe in the East Village. I eat here too much. Best carrot salad dressing I've ever tasted, awesome Babaganoush, and its open all night.

Sabon in Soho. You can come in and get a free hand scrub and wash.

La Esquina in Little Italy looks like a little diner on top but underneath its a dark, sexy little Mexican Restaurant.

Mud in the East Village, I just went here last weekend and sat under the colorful sun roof with some friends while sipping peppermint tea.

Schillers Liquor Bar in the Lower East Side will always and forever be a favorite of mine. The tuna burger, Wet Ginger Martini, and Sticky Toffee Pudding are to die for.

This is Essex and Delancey in the Lower East Side where I frequently take the F train.

This is a great little flea market that I believe is in the East Village.

Top Shop NYC

Tomorrow is the long awaited and anxiously anticipated opening of Top Shop in NYC. And when it does, I plan to add some color to my spring wardrobe! I am excited but slightly terrified of the crowds that it will bring (as if Broadway in SoHo wasn't crazy enough)!

I love these little outfits from Church and State as well as the beautiful bleach blonde hair.

I am really enjoying the pretty yellow paired with black this spring. I also loooove the shorter dress pants. I wore some today as a matter of fact. :)
