I have surprisingly not posted about this matter but.... Babycakes.... is one of the places i visit most in the city.... and never without Courtney. This gluten free bakery (no allergies to gluten btw... just obsessed with the taste) is absolutely perfect in every way. Cute, cozy, and has the best treats. They use all sorts of coconut milk and oil and agave sweeteners to moisten the cupcake and breads and the icing is creamy, silky, and indescribable. Cheers to Babycakes and the happiness it brings me! My favorites are the lemon cupcake tops, pumpkin cupcakes, the cinnamon apple bread, and one time i visited and they had champaign bellini cupcakes with peach frosting... yum

On another note.... Courtney recently introduced me to Cake Shop in the LES.... and let me just say three words.... vegan.... whoopie.... pie. OMG. Whether you want pumpkin whoopies or peanut butter chocolate whoopies.... this is the place. Not to mention this little cafe serves drinks, coffees, and has live music and old records. It attracts quite a night crowd.... and also contributes to the many things about this city that make it my favorite place on earth.
