I am currently reading a book by New Yorker writer Adam Gopnik called Through the Children's Gate: A Home in New York. A friend recommended this book to me. I have already read and loved Gopnik's Paris to the Moon about his years in Paris with his wife and son. Now he has returned to New York City and writes his memoirs about family life in New York City. I am still in the early pages of the book but so far I love it. He is easy to identify with in his writing and his style is straightforward, quirky, romantic, and unique. I am a fan.
